How long does each package take?

Each Brand Design package takes approximately two to six weeks to complete; completely dependent upon client response time and feedback as well as the specific scope of work for your unique project.

What is included in each package?

All of our brand packages include a set number of logo designs, collateral items, and 2 rounds of revisions. Please refer to each of our brand packages for more details into what is included, available customizable options, as well as package specific creative process guides.

How do we communicate through the design process?

We will have two initial design meetings before we begin any design work, followed by unlimited email, phone, and video call support during the duration of your design project’s timeline.

How will I receive each design phase?

We use a program called Dubsado to conduct and submit each phase of your design project. This program will allow you to select, reply, and comment on each phase of your design work via email so that we can streamline each phase and provide complete clarity and transparency as we move through the design process.

What is your design process?

The design process does not begin until the initial deposit is made and all final content is received. If this delays the process, the schedule and deadline will need to be adjusted accordingly. To ensure your project runs smoothly and to the schedule, it is best to provide content on time and in its final form where possible. Below is our process for new design projects:

What files are included in each brand package?

All final logo designs come in all popular file formats including JPG, PDF, PNG, AI, EPS, and SVG files. Depending on your specific package additional files may be included for your brand collateral items.

Are the files editable?

All final logo designs, business cards, and social media graphics will be finalized set pieces (not editable). Some packages come with brand collateral items that will include editable files – those will always be notated in your project proposal. You can also purchase original design files for an additional charge of $75/file.

How will I receive my final files?

You will receive your digital design files and images in all popular file formats in a shared Dropbox folder for easy download. For all US-based clients, you’ll also receive a hard copy of your design files via a personal USB drive mailed to you by CANVUS Design Studio at the completion of your project.


How much work do I have to do up front before my project?

Each brand package includes one Brand Questionnaire and a Pinterest Inspiration Moodboard that must be completed by you by the Monday before your project start date.

What do I need to have ready by my project start date?

Be sure to have your professional email address, professional phone number (if relevant) and any other contact information set and ready in case we use it in any of your branding. We also encourage you to be sure and grab all your social media handles and website URL if you haven’t already to ensure brand ownership.

What do you expect from me as a client?

We are so thrilled that you care enough about your venture to source a specialized professional to bring your ideas to life. Designers listen, question, comprehend, and only then do we begin to create. We will work with you to understand your project’s objectives and priorities and, once those goals have been established, we ask that you allow us the freedom to apply our skills and expertise on your behalf.

Which package should I choose?

Can I upgrade or downgrade my package?

If you decide you want to upgrade your package before we begin, we can always update your invoice. Once we get started, we’ll have to complete the package that you’ve chosen. Pro tip: We always add in extra value in the next-level package, so if you think you’re going to want more concepts or pitches, in the long run, it’s better to choose the larger package rather than pro-rating additional rounds at the end.

I already have a logo. Can you just design my website or packaging?

We feel that there is nothing more important for your success than a strong brand identity. With a cohesive look, it’s easy to make decisions about your website, your products, and your customer experience. During the branding process, we take a deep dive into the heart of who you are and why your business exists. Once we create the look and feel of your business, we’ll be able to better serve your ongoing needs as your business thrives. This is why we require all new clients to first start with brand identity.

What programs do we use to design your brand elements?

We use the Adobe Suite; specifically, Photoshop and Illustrator to design and develop your specific design elements. Depending on your specific project, we may also apply some fine art elements such as hand lettering, painting, watercolors, and photography to complete a truly authentic design that meets your brand’s needs.

How many other clients do we work with at a time?

In order to provide the level of quality and dedication that we believe our clients deserve, we only work with 3 – 5 clients at any given point. This allows us to work much more intimately with our clients and move much faster as our response time is sooner and our ability to implement changes or edits is almost immediate.

Do you offer payment plans?

There are two payment plans, depending on the package you chose. For packages under $2000,  a 50% deposit is due up front. The remaining 50% is due on completion (prior to the provision of final deliverables). If the project quote is above $2000 you have two choices. You can use the 50/50% plan as above.  Or, alternatively you may pay in installments of 50% up front, 25% due at the 1st milestone, and 25% due on completion prior to provision of final deliverables. These milestones will be agreed upon in advance and set out in the project timelines and contract.

How does payment work?

We like to keep it simple. Our online invoicing system is easy and secure and we accept all major credit cards, debit cards, and e-check.
